I've been putting off this job, as I dislike polishing aluminium lol.
But I finally made a start on the wheelset for this one.
The rims were looking a rather scruffy on the braking surfaces. I started by sanding them with 400 grit on the da sander.
I went through about 10 discs per surface, so around 40 discs all up for the two rims.
I gave one brake surface a quick buff on the bench polisher to check the surface/ progress.
Need to work down to some finer sanding grits before polishing, can still see sanding swirls in the finish, but looking loads better already. Happy with how they're progressing.
