I just picked this up from the local bike shop for AUS.$26 (I'm sure you could get it cheaper online). Its a Pro bike stand, made by Shimano.
They're steel so nice and solid and weighty to hold your bike stable. Universal fit for a full sized bike, just drop the non chain side of the rear axle between the spikes. Spikes are coated in rubber to protect your frame, and there are rubber pads underneath so you can use it inside and not worry about scratching your polished floorboards  The contoured base centres the tyre.
All in all a nice looking and well thought out stand which keeps the bike fairly stable and is nice and cheap. Its pretty enough to be used to put a bike on 'display', and is a cheap option for a very basic workstand - it beats leaning a bike up against a wall but is obviously no comparison to a proper bike stand. Perfect for showing off your rat in your loungeroom!
Some more pics - even works around a back pedal brake arm
