chopper forks question

Im not familiar at all with the chopper forks out there. My question is, is it easy to make the fork legs shorter on chopper forks? For instance, if I purchased 30" forks, could they be shortened to 25"?

If the fork tubes clamp into the triple-tree,you should be able to slide them upward 5".

You can remove the legs and cut them down on most of them. I used a large tubing cutter on the legs of a bike I did for a build off on here.

Just remember to measure twice and cut once.

Thanks guys for the info. If I go this route I will certainly be chopping them to the closest tolerance possible, but now the electra springer front end is lookin pretty good too....
