I know that some of you out there will be taking time off for the Christmas holiday. The way things have worked out for me this year, I'll end up being off for about 11 days straight including the weekends. If all goes well, I might be able to finish the clean up and re-assembly of the root beer 1981 Schwinn Cruiser 5 that I picked up a couple of months ago.

Anyone else have time off and bike projects you'll be focusing on?

Vacation ????? what is that?

That Cruiser needs some Gold Anno on it.

You are right....too bad the stuff sells for the same price as real gold right now...ha ha!

I'm off indefinitely until I find work again. At least my family will be off and I can see them over the holidays. I have a large family so I don't get to see everyone all at once very often. Looking forward to it.
Nice looking bike by the way.
Both of you, I've been watching the thread to see how they turn out.
Merry Christmas everyone and Happy Holidays. I can't wait to read the threads of all these Christmas bikes after they finally get to see them. It's nice to hear when someone's hard work is really appreciated.

My plans (other than the family stuff) is to gut and reorganize my work room. It's getting to the point where the only way I find something is when I trip over it

Holiday Cheers!
Dr. T

Same plans here, it's getting dangerous to walk around the shop right now.

I am fortunate that my company closes from Chistmas through New Years, this year it will be Dec 24-Jan 3. I also took the 4th-7th off so I will have 18 days in total. We'll see how quick I can get the in-laws out of the house.
My other hobby is woodturning, and that creates a HUGE mess so I plan to clean out the shop and also go through the wood shed and decide what is still turnable and what is now firewood. There will be lots of chainsaw work going on... my neighbors just love me. Then I need to take care of maintenance work on my travel trailer. Then I need to get my mtb broke down and ready to ship. Then maybe I'll get to do some work on the cruiser... The order of things could change depending on my mood though. We'll see how many "honey do's" get tacked on the list too.

Have a good Christmas everyone.

If I have time, I should be able to wrap up 2 of my...I dunno...5 projects?
Sadly, My grandfather passed away, so the week after christmas will be occupado.
Its a good kinda passing though! The man had 3 cancers!

Sorry to here that Dingo :| I hope everything works out for ya
Merry Christmas,
Nick :D

I'm still on Christmas Vacation from 2009. My wife will have 11 days off, so I'll have some work to do with her around. I hope everyone has a Merry Christmas and a safe New Year.

Dingo,my condolences.

Besides watching way too many bowl games, I'm going to take a shot at lacing a new rear hub into the rear rim of my old Rollfast. I've been watching you tube videos on wheel lacing and now I feel like it's time to take the plunge.
Merry Christmas to all.
Jeff

Dingo, my condolances for your loss!

Cameron, DFW is on your route, if you want to stop by for lunch in the metro-mess, let me know.

My Co. shuts down from Christmas Eve thru New Years Day. Kind of weird this year with the actual holidays on the week-end, but it basically cost me 3 days of vacation to be off 2 weeks straight. I'm painting the Lil' Tiger tomorrow. Hope to get it back together and ready for CL or eBay after the Holidays.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to All!

I would love to take you up on the offer, but I will have to pass. This is the first time in 13 years I will be making the trip without my wife. She has no time off from her new job, so me and the kiddos are making it a quick trip. Perhaps on another trip.
