this warm in the north country

61 km to the outskirts of Berlin and back through dizzling rain and around 4° C to pick up a new action cam to document my own rides and the protest rides I take part.
The Wolverine was the ride of choice today.

It will need a good cleanup in the next days...

The trip was totally worth the effort. The new cam (Sony FDR X3000, video on the right) is so much better than the old one (Wolfang GA 120, left). in picture quality, but especially in stabilization of the image. And all that for only 180.- €, that was a steal!
This is a side by side of both cams from this mornings commute. The Wolfang was strapped to the right strap of my backpack, the Sony directly on the handlebar.

I put some Christmas decoration on my Kustom Kruiser for the brewery tour yesterday afternoon. Nice & comfy. Had a blast!🍻

Then ride home to swap bikes for the Lights Parade downtown. Folks started staking claim to premium viewing as soon as Main St. was closed as usual when there's a parade.👍👍

Then it was time for Minipenny to make it's first parade since I picked it up a couple years ago!:113:

I'm not sure how much day drinking affected things but was pretty sure I would be seriously injured on the way to the park to join others from Bicycle Longmont lining up for the parade.:headbang: Actually felt the vibe on how to ride the silly thing pretty early & couldn't stop grinning the whole time! Silly little thing.

I dig the Kustom Kruiser...cool bike, Buddy! I wouldn't mind a stretch cruiser bike, but am out of room for a big-boy like that!

Thanks Lars! That bike might be one of my best buys at $80! :113: Such a fun, cushy ride. It just needs more gears added when it gets an overhaul.

Had it out for the final Old Bikes Club ride of '24 to spread Christmas cheer with our core group that have been around since the early days with a couple recent like minded great friends!🤓

Since the group has diminished lately to basically the Graybeards that formed the club, our rides have had little structure. It reminds me of when we were kids & kicked out of the house for the day. "You kids go outside & play! I don't want to see you again until dinner time!!"

You got it!! We're outta here!!!:rockout::dance2:

Graybeards....I'd fit right in w/ Y'all!

I took advantage of perfect weather to test the brake on my Redline yesterday afternoon. I deglazed the brake pads & set up the brake for more power a while ago but have been distracted with PRPPL NRPPL. A very light touch is needed as the brake now falls in "Rim Crusher" category.

Been wearing the flannel hat for a couple weeks when out on a bike to have some fun. 🎄 Gave the track a good sweep & stretch between laps all while soaking up plenty of Vitamin D!🤓
