RatSphinx is correct. Chroming is a costly process especially with the EPA coming down hard on the companies because of the hazardous chemicals used in the process. That being said I have had the chrome done on a couple of my bikes for cheap, but I had a friend at the time whose dad worked in a plating shop. I would trade bikes, cell phones, etc to my friend and his dad could bring them in the back door and did the parts in his spare time.
