What a wonderful transformation. Is the seat a Persons? I ask because I have a little white Persons that looks a lot like seat your using.

thanks all for the good words - honestly I'm not sure what type of seat it is - scavenged it off a girls bike that was thrown in the trash - got the white pedals off it too, just haven't had time to redo them and put them on yet

Cool bike. I'm glad you left the original, what's left of it, paint and decals on the bike. I don't think I've ever seen a Texas Ranger bike before. Very nice!

Great job on cleaning up and preserving that awesome patina!
That is a cool looking AMF. You should try to track down an AMF star chainring. It would be appropriate for that bike and it also would go with the Texas Ranger badge stars.

The AMF Skyrider's that had that same tank and guard typically had the star rings.

Some years of the AMF Jet Pilots used the star ring as well.
