and before you throw it together, get that seat tube welded, the joint at the BB ALWAYS breaks. :roll:
 
i dont understand why those frames do that?
 
maybe by the time they got to the seat tube they were lazy. :roll:

That's why I like Schwinn, their welds are like no other.

Columbias have bottom entry true horizontal, or rear entry dropouts, but those bikes do look a like a similar vintage Westfield/Columbia. I think the bent lower "bar" and type of joint on the upper sea post went out with the rear dropouts on Columbias.
 
Oh now people start blabbing about the weld breaking, if I knew about that I would of welded mine before paining, now one of them is broken lol
 
sorry chief.. this same problem ruined udalls build off bike.
 
The tube was broke from the bottom bracket, removed the crank re-welded it from inside the bottom bracket, turned out nice from the top side ya cant see it was welded
