It followed me home today, mainly for the seat. Owner said it's a '74 Huffy bought at Sears, so maybe it's a Huffy built Spyder? Not sure. It's been spray-bombed orange a long time ago, with gold underneath. From the serial number I can't tell the year... could it be a '64? Did Huffy/Sears ever do a 'Fenderless' like Schwinn, or were they just taken off along with the chain guard? I've got a 'Spyder' chain guard that is the same shape as a Ross Barracuda, but I'm guessing Ross built Spyders for Sears, and this ain't one.

The chrome is toast, and that's disappointing. I'll try to show it some love, but I know better than to think it will be awesome. We'll see.

So... year? Make? I'd like to know what it looked like originally and shoot for that in my restoration.

In the 1968 Huffy catalog there's a gold fender less bike with polo style white seat. In the 1969 Huffy catalog it shows a Rail and a wheel bike with that seat on them. Good instincts on the seat!
