good luck,

Probably not. I didn't notice that on your Cabe post! But if you look at Banker's bike, you'll see the fat fender braces that wrap around the outside of the fenders. The 56-7's were the last JCH ballooners*, and were all decked out deluxe bikes. It's unlikely that any of them had painted fenders from the factory. (Of course, nothing's impossible!) *Sears apparently revived then name in the 80s, offering a rebadged (redecaled?) Murray Monterey. So, the 57s weren't the LAST last, just of the classic bike era. -Adamjeep44 said:Ooh-that's what I want this one to look like eventually. Are those painted fenders correct on mine? The orange paint doesn't match the tank and chainguard, although the lower fork leg has the same color on it.

That plate is held on with a "police" embossed metal strap and a 'keeper' that is not supposed to be removed-not sure how I'm going to get it off to refurbish the bike without messing it up. This plate was from back when the police were serious about licencing bicycles. Does any city still do that?

here's my jet flow with the original rack, minus the jewel.jeep44 said:I would just as soon not have them be the correct fenders-I'd rather have chrome ones-the less paint, the better. I have plenty of other bikes I can use those orange fenders on. While we're on the subject, I suppose that rear rack is not the right one either (even though I do like the look of it).
