As mentioned on the MBBO thread, this started as an idea while shooting pool with my 6-year old son. That, and I'd told him a couple of years ago that when he was finally able to ride a bike without training wheels that we'd build him a banana seat bike. I'd had a small collection of bikes that I'd sold a couple of years ago and he was enthralled by a Huffy Slingshot that I had. I had some odds and ends of parts I'd gathered over the years that I'd kept after the sale of the bikes themselves. From that stash and a few more acquired pieces we built the Huffy "Longshot" pictured before you. A "phantom" bike that Huffy obviously never built, but if they did it would've probably looked a little something like this.
