Mounted the wheel into the Capitan to try it out. 46/19 was good for high top speed (easily 29km/h), 46/23 seemed good for cruising along... I'm not sure what chainring I have in the cruiser, so I'll take all sprockets I have stashed hereback home with the wheel...
I'm glad that at least this worked. Now I just need to check if it's any good on the heavy cruiser...
Yesterday I scored a matching rear wheel for the CobblestoneRat, so no need to use the Duomatic Wheel. So this afternoon I swapped out the rear wheel...
After riding it to the lake and back with the kids, I still have issues shifting. So I might need to try out another shifting lever the next days...
But with the heavy load of the kids SUP board it was ok to cruise in 1 and 2...
I made a great score today. This saddle came for only 20.- €. The leather shows some wear, but besides that it's in perfect condition. It comes from a collector, that passed away earlier this year and now his kids piece by piece try to find a suitable new home for his treasures. I'll for sure keep an eye on their account and this saddle will go onto the CobblestoneRat, as the one that is on it now hurts my butt...
As a little bonus this leaflet came with the saddle as a giveaway (I own 3 NSU bikes already...)
