Collegiate tires

I have a 5 speed Collegiate (early 70s, I believe).

Are the tires 26 x 1 1/4 or 26 x 1 3/8?

Would these work?

That tire will not fit. The tires you need will be marked S-6. Here are the ones they carry that will fit.

Cool, thanks for the info. I'm new to Schwinns. Never had one in 27 years until now. I just always knew there were different things with them. Like the older Saabs I like so much..

Wow, I thought everybody had a Schwinn. Well you'll not be disappointed, Schwinns are great.

My old neighbour had a whole barn full of them. I always rode bmx or $10-$50 bikes growing up. I am now finding out how cool old Schwinns are. Especially Campus Green ones.
