Gents, should i restore the Higgins or leave as is.? Dilemma. It's on the fence.

Will I increase or hurt it's value with a full blown restore.

I'm with outskirts.. clean it up, tinker a bit, fresh grease, ride. It's a beautiful original and nowhere near the need to restore :D

I'm here to take the problem off your hands........

To restore this bike will seriously decrease it's value. You would also be surprised how it might look with a little work and No.7 Rubbing Compound.

YEAH!!!...WHAT THEY ^ SAID..P 8)

I say sell me the seat for my bike and then do whatever you wish!

Thanks for the input. It's believed to have had an original springer fork and that it was replaced with a standard fork to allow for a large paper boys rack on the front which the front fender indicates was present. I would like to put an original springer back on in time. I've had one offered to me to buy. Just need to make up mind on that one.

I'll do some shining on it and add some pics afterwards. Thanks again for the insight. I love to restore them and sometimes jump the gun on wether to restore or refresh.

Thanks

OA bath for all the chrome bits, rubbing compound for the painted bits, a clean and re-grease for everything that moves, bodywork any dents, and re-assemble it. Just clean what is there and it'd shine like new again.
