I’ve had this sittin for years and could never decide what to build it. I like the old road bike look but also the cruiser look, so I’m Compromising within myself:)
Hence build name: COMPROM15E

Sweet bike; I have an old collegiate sitting around. Very similar bike. I’ve got the same idea.... do some sort of funky road, gravel, racer, cruiser sort of deal....

I’m looking forward to see what you do with this!!

Cool to see what updates you plan. Neat city bike. What brand is that?

I think I’m done for the day, starting to get windy and cold outside. I was disappointed trying to mount 26” fat tires couldn’t clear the width of frame and had to use some 24” fatties to just mock up, still not any sidewall clearance, and couldn’t remove the rear fender, will continue tomorrow, bummed. I do like the smaller radius wheels on it so I may stick with 24’s!

Made some progress today, I removed the rear fender without ruining it, was able to swap out the tires for barely enough clearance! I was playing with a few handlebar options and possibly trusses.
I’m thinking I need a springer, may try the beehive or monark springer next weekend.
I only have time on weekends.

I roll on tires like that all the time! Those are just getting broken in! :)

I’d try to find a way to clearance the frame to run those fattys!
