crank arm

Hi,

I'm cleaning up a schwinn black phantom. I'm trying to remove the crank arm. Is the thread right or left handed?

The easy way is all the stuff loosens to the rear ....crank nut ...pedals. It will
keep you from getting messed up.

And here I thought it was that stuff tightens to the front..........

2 things are reverse threaded, the cranks and the left pedal.
