so we all love to ride our cruisers, rats or other bikes whenever we can get the chance and for some of us that is also when we need to commute to work. cruising to work on one of my cruisers just puts me in that right mindset to deal with the day and when i'm off work, theres my bike, waiting for me to hop on and ride off (id say into the sunset, but i get off work at 1pm everyday).

so to all of us who insist on riding to and from work in style, lets see those rides.

my 59 (or 60) amf. most comfortable of my commuters.

my 08 next lajolla. added full on chrome fenders since picts taken. good for bad weather and cruising on nice days outside of work.

i do commute on others as well, including a new 09 huffy cranbrook (cuz id rather it get dented, dinged or ran into than one of my classics) with having a water bottle mounts, will get alot of use this summer.

I ride to work every day, I don't own a car. Since the weather has started getting nicer, I have been busting out my cruisers and put my winter commuter back in the basement. Some weeks I ride a different bike every day. Today I rode in on my Stealth Bomber and made a huge skid-stop in front of my building :)

Here are some pics of some of the rides I've brought to work in front of my building.

Stealth Bomber (pic from last year, I have recently changed the front wheel to 26")

(this was May, a lot of other commuters then)

Big Red Rocket of Love (pic from last year, but I just rode it last week)

(this was September, no more other commuters)

DevilWing (pic from last year, but I might ride it tomorrow)

(bottom of the speedometer goes from SAFE, to CRUISE, to DANGER)

May is Bike-To-Work Month, May 11th-15th is Bike-To-Work week, and Friday the 15th is Bike-To-Work Day

Joey, Coolest Speedo.

I ride every day rain, sun or snow (even got studs).

This is what I have been riding lately.

Usually once a week I ride one of the rats/cruisers for fun. Even been known to ride this for the cushy ride and 3spds.

Isn't that the 1st bike on the this webpage?

Anyway, you all are lucky to be riding back and forth to work. I would, but I get off work at 2am, and I only have to travel 3 miles, but I would have to travel down the strip, laden with nude bars, crackheads, and drunks. There's no alternate route.

I love riding to work some times this but with a seat

id love to ride to work, but its 25miles away(which isnt the bad part) the bad part is, the only sensible way to get there is down I70, the major highway that runs right to downtown KC. so to all you daily commuters, RIDE ON!!! 8) 8)

Easy E

if you take the light rail from Folsom to downtown Sacramento(or back) you might see me in the back of a rail car sitting next to this......

As I have no driver's license, I simply have to commute by bike.
Heck, I do everything by bicycle, even shopping.
For daily shopping I use a backpack, for bigger stuff like crates of beer I use my Kronan.
Best side-effect: at age 43 there's still no sign of lovehandles  biking keeps me fit !

On topic: my commuter bike is my Electra Ratrod, but when weather is dry (which is not often a sure thing in Holland) I am using my Electra Ghostrider more and more - I just love that bike. I am working on a longer backfender at the moment so I can use it on wet roads too. Stay tuned.

man, we have got alot of nice bikes here. and skipton, that schwinn in the last post is absolutly sick. the tank, white tires and front disc brake really sets it off. so cool that so many of us ride to work like this, and everyone at my work gets a kick when i ride, especially an older bike like my amf, to work (usually surrounded by a sea of xmart bikes, but then again thats where my la jolla and cranbrook came from).
