whats everyone doing about pedals? i always see saddle or fork upgrades but what about pedals? are there any cool types out there? i have seen several iron cross pedals but nothing else..........

.......they are pretty big i saw a pair in town on a bike so i looked them up.....how do you think they look on an electra delivery 8?

Funny how the universe works. Just today as I was looking at my LBS I took a look at their pedal selection trying to think what I might use on my build. Nothing struck me as being right. Would love to see some pedals people have made themselves.

Personally, I have a soft spot for big ol bow pedals. Although, the anodised bear trap types from the 80's are hard to beat on a geared bike/klunker. 8)

These Bell bow pedals do the job, probably weigh twice as much as good metal pedals do. :mrgreen:

I haven't had very good luck with those. I've bought two different pairs from two different walmart's and in both sets the left side pedal's axle was bent.

I used these SunLine pedals on my buildoff bike, and I'm really liking them, even if they aren't sealed-bearing and super spiffy.
They're like a new-age rat trap.

Those I like if I could remove the pins so they won't dig into bare feet :shock:

I'm currently shopping for these for my current build, a prewar Monark with upgraded 3 pc cranks,. I've never had anything BMX'ish in my life but I just gotta have a pair of these! I plan on either taking the pins completely out or seeing how short the short ones are, but these are my next pedals..... once I can get my wallet right!
