I just saw a new bike very similar to this at K-Mart of all places today. It was the same color, same handlebars and even had chrome fenders and white walls. It was also a Huffy. I beleive it was 99 bucks. However it was also K-Mart quality.

im pretty sure this one is a bit older, the barn it was in had to have a tree cut down that was keepin the door shut. i dont mind the newer bikes but this one had the older style fenders id rather use for paintin, the newer ones always have the super thin metal fenders with wire braces. but lots of good parts on those bikes for $99, so far i havent got much $ invested in this one, tho i got some really good deals on some of the parts i am lettin go of with this bike.

How do you chop the fenders? Can you show us?
Thanks

yup, i'll post plenty of pics. gonna take pics of the parts ive got together for it today too. i just mark my line and use tin snips tho to "chop".

Makin a little bit of progress, laced the front wheel up and got all my parts together now thanks to the friendly bunch here (Thanks to MarkM, 2manybikes, Hooch, Kingplinker !!!) so the ball should be rollin this weekend, gotta get the frame ready to paint but i did find im gonna have to spread the rear stays though before i get the paint down.

long time no update (what can i say, im a procrastonater)
sorry bout the grainy pics, havent figured this camera out yet....anyway

the frame

the rear hub

the rear drop outs - need bout another 3/4 of an inch

cut the lower stay brace / fender mount bracket

cut the upper stay brace / fender mount bracket

maybe im a wuss but i COULD NOT get the rear dropouts to spread far enough apart without the dropout sliding the hub back out, not to mention the steep angle they were at to the hub.
tomorow im gonna use some threaded rod to space the rear dropout where i need them, then weld stay bracing / fender mount brackets back in.
