Crusty Old Bike - CWC Origin?

Picked up this crusty old relic at a recent swap meet from Forum member oldfart36.
I've seen the springer fork used on former build off bikes and a restored one on eBay for $399. I took a few pics as sun was going down. Any speculation as to vintage or branding is welcomed.

The kickstand appears to be cast or forged iron. Very heavy duty.

Thinking this might be best clue to vintage...

So what is a "Jiffy" kickstand? Original equipment or after market accessory?

Frame has two or three coats of add on paint, so serial number not visible.

I believe they were 'OEM' for bikes of this vintage (pre-war). Jiffy is the brand name, like Wald. They are rather sought after for their quality, particularly with heavier bikes. I've got one in my stash, waiting for a CWC frame, just like the one you have.

B.C. Jiffy Co., Chicago. 1934 patent date. Harley Davidson used Jiffy stands on some of their motorcycles. I have 2 Jiffy's and I love them. Bead blast your stand and put a couple coats of satin clear on it. Will look great. Gary

That looks like a 50's model, with the correct shockmaster springer and cranks. The serial number on the BB will help ID it more.

Serial number appears to be: D68663 AC or A0

Green might be original paint under black and blue?

I had more or less decided that BONINE was my last build off. Then I found this old hunk, probably in for #10 now.

The expert on CWC is member RMS37. I remember reading about the years somewhere, so I might be wrong, but 50-51 rings a bell with the AC.

In looking at the side photo again, I'm noticing the rather severe seat tube angle. Similar to Electra's "Flat Foot" geometry.

Thast's one of the reasons I like the CWC built frames, a great laid back ride. After AMF bought them, they kept that good laid back geometry on their cantilever frames.

It looks like that springer has a bend, right at the crown. Hopefully it can be straightened out or repaired. The top braces will have to be reshaped from the looks of it.

I see your enjoying the bike already! I always felt it would make a great project and a quality build. Like when we spoke at the swap meet, I always thought it was early 50's CWC, 50-54, more then likely, part of the Western Flyer family. I think you'll find that ya can't beat those jiffy stands, they are great.

Thanks guys. Actual visible frame serial number is D68663 AC with W in C.
The rear hub date code appears to be "J 4", so 1940 Morrow hub.
PreWar Jiffy KS, '40 Morrow hub, '50 frame/fork maybe Western Flyer and New Departure front hub???

Added some tires from member rrtbike, a saddle, grips, chain is usable, bike rideable as is.

The fork has a small angle of tilt to the right, so stem tube to springer crown may not be square. Wildcat had noticed this in earlier posts.
I haven't taken it apart so time will tell. Maybe the headset bearings are shot. The steering does seem to bind up.

There appears to be at least three colors on the bike frame. Two are obvious, the green is more hidden.
