Crusty Old Bike - CWC Origin?

In taking this apart I find a steering tube bent in two directions. I didn't check it out closely enough before picking it. I do have a replacement fork for it now.
While I had it together it ride like s clown bike. I hope if someone was riding it when things bent, they survived.

I know what it is it is a a built bar ( awesome built) bad a**ride)Coming back to life...waiting on some stem spacers. This bike was going to be my BOTEN project bike.

Dude that's sweeeeeeeet with that yellow rim combo to the blue frame. You gonna add fenders to that ride.

Hey thanks. Probably going to try adding some wider tires. I have several chain-guards for it, bars, saddle and stem. The rear hub is 3sp, I'm hoping to keep it as a skip tooth drive train. I have a rear adapter cog. I hadn't thought about adding fenders.

The original field paint on mine may have been a light green. Over that green is black and then blue over the black. This was going to be my BO10 bike until I ran into the bad fork. I have a Rusty Roadmaster from Texas that matches your picture.

Basically took it apart today. I greased and adjusted the headset and fork. I put new cups and bearings in the bottom bracket. I cleaned the blue paint off the chainring and crank, tweaked the chainguard bracket to eliminate crank rub. It's back together and ready to ride.

Can you show more detail on how you did the headset to make the ladies fork work on the shorter headtube?
I see spacers, but I trying to think what kinda upper bearing race you used. Is it a mix of threadless and threaded headset parts?

Good question. I had my lbs extend threads on the steering tube so I'm using a standard cone at top race. I then added 1" thread less spacers to fill the gap. Problem is they wouldn't go all the way down. I found an oversized seat post that fit over tube. I cut off a 1" long section. Problem solved. Then I remembered that I had some 1-1/8" x 10 mm thread less spacers, they fit over the seat post section. I need to get a 5mm spacer to fill the gap. Anyway seat post piece and thread less spacers are filling the 1" long gap with truss rod bracket, one keyed lock washer and cap nut. So it's a hybrid thread-less quill stem setup.
