Still waiting on parts, so I pulled the wheels off of my Schwinn, mounted up the 26x4's, and checked clearances in the rear with the axle in raised and lowered positions:

The other has a salt flats feel to it.
I like both, but personally. Anything death dome is awesome.

Well, in that top pic, the rear tire actually makes contact on the frame. I could trim that piece of tubing back, but I think if I have to choose butt-up or butt-down, I'd have to choose tail-dragger stance.
I'll take more pics tomorrow. I found a 31.8 to 25.4 seatpost shim, so I can trim down the DK post that I have in the morning. I have the bars mounted now, so once I get the seat on, I'll almost have the cockpit set up. Just waiting on my cranks to show up.
Okay. Brooks B-67 saddle on a DK post, thanks to a 31.6 to 25.4 shim. Bars are Soma Oxfords in a short DH stem.

Oh, and if anybody's concerned, I plan to lower the seat a bit more. After the wheel/fender gets mounted in its final position, and I've had a test ride or two to see how my knees feel about it, I'll trim the post.
Drum/roller brakes installed. My spokes arrived, so I finally built my wheels.

I decided that if I was going to use that fork, then the rest of the bike needs to be up to a similar standard.
It started out on an old NSU motorcycle, but I added a modified steerer for a Schwinn-style springer and got it to fit the 1-1/8" headset.
