We should pass the word around about that too. Seems like there was a thread about that last year.
Also put the name of your build at the beginning of your Finished Build Thread.
It just makes it a lot easier for the person that creates the voting gallery.

Here's a thought: I know it would involve more work but what if we were able to have two photos posted for the final voting thread. There are so many dramatic photos out there, but maybe less is more. Just a thought I've had over the years.

At this point, I'm guessing the moderator is only worried about taking the top picture from your Finished Bike thread for your build. The voting thread has nothing more than the name of your build, your username, and the one pic.

I don't think you have to be a moderator to volunteer to put together the voting list. If you're the one doing it, @Rat Rod might go along with it (although there may be other reasons for having only one photo). But as you said, it's twice the amount of work.

thats why i suggested this, it was not mention anywere , we had to pass the word out to put ''The'' pic first ... the link to the build thread is good for when people dig in the archives later on

While the Finished thread link isn't in the voting page it is usually set up on the Voting Gallery.
Otherwise people would only see the single photo and not be able to drill down deeper on the bikes.
Look at previous build offs for examples.

As far as photos are concerned, in the past we have chosen the first pic you posted in the finished bike post to use as a reference to the bike. There is also a link to the finished build thread.

If someone wants to volunteer to create this finished bike gallery post it would definitely speed up the process and allow voting to start sooner.
