Those rear lights are normally usb rechargable. How did you wire it into the hub motor?

I didn't. It's plain old usb rechargeable.

Sorry my mistake, I seem to have I skipped over where you actually stated it was not connected. Those are great lights, I have some too. .... optical illusions..

FYI.... some of those occ Stingrays had chrome rear fenders...
