I switched forks and dont have the problem anymore.A 29" fork can accommodate tires 3" wide. But 2,3 or 2,5 should still fit a 26" fork, 2,8 probably too. I think in 24 everything above 2,3" width is knobbies only.
There is the extremely rare Quick Brick in 24x2,125, it has been put on kid's Felt cruisers, so I read. I don't know if they had them in cream, I have only seen them in black.

Going to try and turn these old tent poles and basket bracket into truss rods. I epoxied some long bolts into one end and will cut and flatten other end .I like the fender, fills the gap well.
