I've read about using wood bleach for derusting chrome and intend to try it myself.I am wondering if anyone on here has tried soaking a wheel with the tire still on it or a set of bars with a grip still on.I know it would not be a good idea to get the water/bleach in bearings. What I've got in mind is standing a wheel and tire up in a container and turning the wheel after a while' doing part of the wheel at a time.I believe folks are using plastic containers for the soaking so I'm thinking it might not hurt tires and handles. I'll know in a few days because I'm going to try it unless advised otherwise. Thanks :?: :?:

I'd recommend taking the tire off. That way the bead area gets cleaned too, and your tires don't get all nasty looking.

I take the tire and the rim liner off so the inside of the rim gets the rust removed also i`ve had very nice results, even helps with rusty spoke nipples to loosen them
