The build is slow going. Just been looking for parts.

Pulled these off of a old Schwinn BMX that I scored for free on CL.

They are a little rough, but with some TLC they'll come around.

Picked up a set of Diamondback platform pedals that were on sale for $10.00 at one of the local shops.

Plus, I've decided to weld the rear dropouts to strengthen them & some other weak points on the frame.

Swapped out the old OPC's with Maxy Cross 3 piece cranks. Cleaned & repacked the BB.

Also scavenged a set of bars off a Huffy BMX. Not really feeling the RedLine stem.

Picking up a set of Araya wheels this weekend. Gonna lace up the original Suntour coaster brake.

It's been a while. I just got the frame back from being sandblasted. Time to smooth it with some sanding, then primer it. I haven't decided on what color to paint it.

I pulled the headset off of an old Diamond Back MTB & slapped it on. Looks kinda cool.

Here's an idea for a head badge:

I am having a set of ARAYA 7X rims laced up with a high flanged Schwinn hub up front & a Suntour coaster brake in the rear.

Also gonna sand down the rough spots on the crank arms.

Did some sanding last night. I've decided to keep it bare & spray it with clear. I was inspired by Rat Rod's 55 Spitfire (The Bullet)!

I'd like to update the headset, but I'm having problems finding a replacement. It's an odd ball size. The steer tube is 1", but the head tube is slightly larger & the crown is slightly smaller than 26.4 mm. I've been to several LBS with no luck. For now I have mixed n' matched the original headset bearings & cups with headset parts off of an older Diamond Back MTB.

Sadly yeah! The rear wheel was jacked. The original Suntour CB & a Schwinn high flange hub are being laced up (4 cross) to a set of ARAYA 7X's. The gold on the forks were chipped & scratched.

Just finished spraying on the Krylon Crystal Clear Acrylic Satin! I like the fact that it's not too shiny!

Next; cleaning up the Maxy Cross cranks.
