I've decided to keep the Dixie Flyer so the build is now in progress.

Neat frame! I've always wanted to find a Dixie Flyer. My first bike was a 20" Dixie Flyer. There was a bicycle racer that was called the Dixie Flyer. Google up Bobby Walthour of Atlanta Ga.

finaly found some time to work on the flyer so I dug a set of wheels out
of the pile and cleaned them up a bit including lacing in a new departure
rear hub, stripped a fork from a rollfast and gave it some paint to try
and match the frame....not quite but it will due for now :p The crank
was bent so I replaced it with a "Big Cheese" bmx crank from my stash
along with some nos union rat traps, new bearings and the stock crank
sprocket ,a new set of tubes with Fat Franks to complete the wheels
bars , grips and stem also from the pile so its now a rider just needs
a seat reupholstery job to complete it.
