Does anyone have an idea the age of this?

I picked this up the other night for my wife. She wants to do some customizing to it. I just wondered how old it is. It seems to be in good shape. I have no idea if its original. I know the tires aren't.

I dont know the age but looks in great shape i have a the boys model of that bike but its ruff

Its in great shape. Im sure the paint isn't original. I need to see if I can find the serial number. I know that will help age it for sure. Id like to find a mens frame to go with this one.

The serial number is under the bottom bracket. Post that and a picture of the rear dropouts

Check real close and see if there is a Cw after the serial number where the rust is. The w will be small inside the capital C

I will see if I can find that. Its pretty rusty.

Everything else is saying it should be there. I believe it's a 47. I have an identical 46

Get a little piece of 100 grit sand paper and go after it,
Then after that go up to 1000 grit.
It works quite well on removing rust and paint from around the numbers, but not from inside them so you can read it much easier and they show up in pics better
