Can I swap parts from my Schwinn to a Hawthorne frame
I'm buying a Hawthorne frame and I want to swap over everything off my 61 Schwinn cantilever frame, will the crank and the fork swap over?
Any help is really appreciated!

the answer is probably yes, or maybe...

I just installed schwinn cranks into a Westfield built columbia. Only issue was they would not go in with both cups installed so I removed the non drive side cup, installed the crank, then slipped over the cup, tapped in into place then finished the crank install. Must be some minor difference with the bb shell width or the design of the bottom bracket cups.

Other things to scrutinize are the seatpost diameter and the headset cup diameter, fender mounting holes and fender brace length. Lots of parts out there though if you get stuck.

I say go for it, after all, what's the worst that can happen?

Thanks I got the frame and the crank fit, now I have to check to see if the forks work..
