What's it look like with the tank flipped end for end and tucked under the middle bar?
I'm curious about ladies tanks.

Carl.

Here are a few variations that I thought of before cutting it in.

Back curve doesn't match well.

All the way under, would need straps to mount correctly. Looks kinda like a tool box...

Partially under was my second choice.

Flipped, swoosh toward. Looks funky on the nose to me.

How it ended up

Roughed out. Need more cutting media

Haha! You picked the best one.
But thanks for the views.

Carl.

Man... you're really getting stuck in.

Loving it :113:

Glen.
Thanks Glen!

Lucky to get a few hours a day while still on vacation. Still have a ways to go.

@Guitarl has one, so I thought I'd jot mine down. Thinking on the punch list.

Seat
Bottom bracket and crankset
Derailleur
Forks
Front and back wheel and tire
Headset and Bars
Guard?
Fenders?
Lights/Mirror?
Restore horn in tank
Body work/paint

Tomorrow, maybe I pound a seat pan into shape.

Like that rear end MC! Mo fatta, mo betta!
Thanks OddJob. Agree, mo fatta mo betta. Glad you like it!

Fat but solid. Feels a lot better than the last one I widened. ;-)

Gonna scratch build a sprung triple tree soon [emoji41]

Thinking of joining the fun??

Wait a minute...
We can chop, cut,and re-imagine a vintage frame?

:39:

;-) I think so. I was just fixing a frame I broke [emoji605]

The thought seemed to unintemtionally ruffle a feather or two in another circle.

I'm no purist, but there are certain bikes/parts I won't chop.
Other than that, it all came from the ground; and will eventually return to the ground.

Wow, you are in the lightning round of your build. Tons of cool work already. Great job on the stretch. The opposing curve of that tank kinda conflicts with the straight part of the top tubes though.

Thanks Kingfish, glad you like the stretch.

I appreciate your thoughts on the tank. I have other feedback on the tank that the curve on the bottom also conflicts. I have a couple rounds yet to go with it.

On the back, flowing with the curve.

Made a little progress today. Smoothed on the seat pan.

Need hardware and some foam to continue.

With black and red, may need to find some material to upholster it.

I also started planning the fork.

1/4" plate might be a little heavy, but after shaping it should still remain strong.

Still thinking on it more before I get the cutting torch out to cut it.
