Drop bolts anyone?

I need to make some drop bolts for a folding bike I'm futzing with. Does anyone have any experience with these? Are they safe?

Never mind, I'm going to go with a coaster brake as God intended.
The amount of time and frustration it will take to make them is pricier than a new wheel
