I phoned an old auto wrecker / junk collector in my area to see if he has any older bikes. He said "yes,I guess I'm getting tired of looking at them"

I asked what they are and he said "I'm not sure the brand but,

"one is from Cambodia,about a 1934
The other is rare he say's.."It has Drum brakes" about a 1948

any idea what surprises I might be going to see when I finally get this guy to wake up before noon to show me??

anyone heard of a bike with drum brakes....
once again I'm always learnin here and I would love to Sap some knowledge from some of the pro's here,

Thanks,

Kev.

The old Schwinn Cruisers from the 80s had a rear drum brake on certain models. You'll know because the hub is usually pretty large. I guess some of the Krate bikes may have had them also.

Sounds like they will be interesting bikes to check out.

I have a 1930s drum brake front hub off a tandem which is waiting for a project. The rest of the bike was too bad to salvage unfortunately.

this is another one one those old junk yard guys who responds when it;s good for him..I phoned him 4 times over the last week and he keeps forgetting to bring the bikes from home to his junk yard..

I'll be patient,I have a good feeling about these two bikes.
