here's my latest craigslist score...

mid 60's (I was told) Dunelt ten speed.

Stripping eveything off and starting over...

Nice - I might even think early 60s due to the levers. By the mid 60s even cheap ten speeds were using proper levers for drop bars. I think the bash guard appeared on the Allvit derailleurs in 1960/61 so it could possibly be that old.

Looks like the brakes levers are kinda out of place. Could it be that there's was a "cruiser" type bar there before?

^ I don't think so. The old guy I bought it from said he bought it new "back in the 60's" and the only thing on the bike that he changed was the seat....
