Anybody have Dyna bicycle? I bought one earlier today. It is not an old bike.On the top tube is Glide Deluxe. Sorry, not able to post photos yet. The bike is a 26" mens coaster brake bike. It is purple. The handlebars are very wide and swept back. It has a springer fork.I love the way it rides. As a matter of fact it just may be the best riding single-speed bike I have, and I have several now.I also bought a Huffy 26" mens bike. It is a Surfside model according to the chainguard. It is bright green with chrome fenders. It has wide whitewall tires. It rides well too. 8)

If it's a Dyno. it was an offshoot of GTand not a bad bike at all. A Dyna? not sure. Dynacraft was a department store quality bike not known for its quality.

Thanks and please excuse my nearsightedness and / or stupidity. Once I stayed off the bike long enough to put on my reading glasses to do a little cleaning I realized the headbadge reads Dyno with an o not an a.It also says Santa Ana , California on the headbadge. I suppose that where they are imported to . The bars I described would be aka beach cruiser style bars I suppose.I actually looked at the two bikes at a flea market and then walked away. I'm glad now that I went back to them .Now that I can spell Dyno I will search the net to see what I can learn. Thanks again.

lets see your bike , i own several DYNO'S

yeah, for the longest time, GT and Dyno were synonomosely (yeah... that word may not even exist  ) sold side by side. whenever i saw a dyno, id say its a slightly lower level GT. now once pacific cycle co. bought the GT name, all bets are off, but the dyno's i remember were good bikes. the huffy surfside sounds cool, too. can't wait to see picts.

Re: dyno bicycles

Here's a couple of mine, an 'Ultra Glide' and a 'Von Franco'.
I just got around to setting up my Photobucket account, so hopefully the pics work (looks like it does!).

These are just about the best riding bikes I've ever been on, they ride like a Cadillac, smooth and comfortable!

Some history on these bikes (as provided by Von Franco himself), although these bikes were made in China and imported here, they were built using top quality parts, etc...
According to V.F., Schwinn didn't like the competition and bought Dyno, then shut them down.
At least that's how it was explained to me, does anyone else have a different version?

great looking bikes, your Von Franco looks like its in good shape!!! Kudo's to you talking to the "Man" himself.... did he autograph the bike...lol

The Von Franco is actually a little worse for wear, no dents but plenty of scratches, no surprise since it get a lot of use!
I ran into VF at the Lone Star Roundup earlier this year and fortunately/unfortunately I didn't have my bike with me!
There was a VF Tiki bike there that he'd autographed, didn't really care for the bike though, I think the graphics are too busy.

The only complaint I have is that the crank sprockets always seem to rust, it happened on my Von Franco so I took it off and painted and pinstriped it.
