Drove to Ohio to get this bike Monday night. It was in the guys man cave for 15 years. Said he rode it twice. It's a Dyno Duece, 24x3 wheel on the back and 26x2 on the front with fireball tires. It's on fire! Looks like it is fresh out of the box. Did I say it's on fire!

That rear tire is screaming for a 50 mm rim. Stock rim looks so skinny.

Cool 17 year old bike; gloss black looks nice; and an integral kickstand!
So, how many Dynos with moto forks do you have?
http://ratrodbikes.com/forum/index.php?threads/moon-eyes.102000/
How do you find the moto forks (with or w/o ape hanger bars) - stiff, heavy, comfortable?
Here's some before/during/after pics of mine.
Before:

During (not after yet):

Two including this one. Added felt 50mm wheels on the moon eyes bike.
Felt wheels on a dyno.

I find them to ride nice, a little stiff but handle well, bigger the tires the better for cushion. The quality of the coast on the Moon Eyes was so smooth That I couldn't resist this one. Much more comfortable with the BMX lay back seat post. This one will get that post as well. My Glide Deluxe has a springer fork. I also have the Felt El Guapo with the motto/chopper fork. 3" tires on that one. I crashed the moon eyes and bent the rear rim. Looking for 50mm hoops to lace the original hubs into. Purchased the Felt wheel set in the interim.

Thanks for asking!

Just the one Dyno then?

Did that come new with the skull grips?

Wow ! Kruez just Wow ! Wonderful find . Re; stiff handling - on my Deuce ( same wheels and tires ) 10 lbs over PSI , and the stiffness went away.

Thanks! Proves they are still out there, right! This guy purchased the bike originally at a car show and just kept it on display since. It was a great deal at $200.- as clean and new as this it could sell for 2-3 times that. I'm a Dyno fan so I don't think I'm a part with it. But then everything is for sale right.

Skull grips @Wildcat :
Dave said they came with the bike. Skull valve caps as well. He did not add them. I don't know if they were original. It's possible the vendor at the car show added them. It's also possible they are original. I know they are still available after market.

I did not mean to hijack your post (is that what its called). I have some dyno frames, which are mostly semi-custom projects - in my mind. I got some deals as birthday gifts for my brothers and sister, those bikes were almost too-nice to modify. So, I get a light blue ultra with beach rust and pitting, planning to paint bright blue metallic, but then I find a tank in red! Then another light blue frame (almost too nice to paint), but then I find the light blue tank! Then a red deuce frame, a moon-eyes frame, a girls glide-7, and recently the flat black deuce. So the red rims might eventually go on the red bike. One project was to be a moto 3-speed, so the new to me deuce allowed me see how I might actually like the 16" ape hangers and moto forks. (I also have a Monark springer). I might switch bars to see if I like the bullhorn bars better with the moto fork.

No hijacking here. It's all about the love of Dynos. Sounds like you have some nice projects. A Dyno has been my daily rider for years. Now I have 6. They are still my favorites.

This is a killer piece you've found. I've owned several Dyno's over the years... All I currently have is a calendar though:21:
I've got a buddy with a pristine ultra glide if you need one in your collection

That's the same calendar I have. It has some water damage and wear from being displayed. Was given to me just yesterday. Pristine ultra glide?

aceuh, can you do me a favor?

See if your Dynos have a 4 digit number on the underside of the BB. I suspect it's the month and day, but need more evidence. No hurry.

I used to own this bike. When I had it, a friend that collects BMX said that the serial number looked like it was from 1998. I sold it to a buddy that thought he wanted it to ride.... Now he's paranoid that one of his kids is going to beat it up... Wants to move it before that happens

BMX said that the serial number looked like it (mint blue Ultra w/ black scallops) was from 1998
Kruez' Deuce has an integral kickstand in gloss-black. I believe those are post-1999, or a 2000-2001 'GT Dyno Kustom Kruiser'. Sometime in 2001, the embossing on the top tube rear-extension may have changed from "D" to "KK". The 'katalog' for 2001 was published in 2000 (14-month calendar included late 2000).
My guess is that the serial number would be something like MT0mm01234, or MT1mm01234, with mm being the month code, and 0 or 1 being the year code.
I have a 2001 KK frame with Serial Number SNMT1mm012345, with the "SN" and an additional digit added.
That's my theory, some others might just say "knobody knows".
