The manufacturers used electrical tape as bar tape. I 1st thought someone just put 1970s components on this bike and then wrapped in electrical tape but that's how it came from the factory because I researched it and all the images showed the same thing. The add advertises this bike for the wealthy Dodge Viper owner that has everything.

This for probably bazilion $ versus:

The real thing - worth it's weight times price of scrap...

If you don't see any difference, why overpay? :21:
Is the orange bike really from 2006?

It's the Romet Wagant/Pasat/Orkan. They made them from the early 70's up to late 90's. It's practically the same bike as used for a base for my gravel bike. Prices range from "Give me one beer, and take it" up to 25$ max. :21:

Here is the American version that uses the same style of economics.

Murray built 10 speeds.

The only one that people value is the Hydraulic.

No, those Romet bikes are lugged with ACTUAL LUGS and have STANDARD WIDTH TUBING! The American bikes are brazed as cheaply as possible, which makes the tubes split at the joints. Then also have skinnier tubes than Romet. Something similar to Romet in America is Keno. Keno is like a Colnago compared to the Murray/Huffy/Sears.

Keno also made bikes for Fuji as well. I did not know Fuji sold such cheap bikes.

The Fuji was probably made in the Keno factory.
