Early? schwinn hub ID???

I got three sets of wheels with my 54 Schwinn and this is the only hub that was with it and there are no numbers, letters or anything on it, is it possible to tell what it is? If so I need help!

Someone may be able to recognize the inner portion as to the brand. Have you tried to fit a tire onto the rim? It may be an S-7 rim, meaning a standard 26" tire, 26 x 1.75 or 26 x 2.125 will be a tiny bit too small to fit. that would ID the rim as a Schwinn, maybe help ID what kind of hub. I think Schwinn used Bendix hubs. Does it have a matching front wheel?
