easy way to paint rims

Just wondering whats the easiest way to paint some rims and not the spokes I don't want to take the spokes out so just a lot of tape or straws? thanks for any info guys.

I've used coffee stir straws before. Just slice them down the side and slide them on.

Tape everything not covered by the straws that you don't want paint on, like the hub, the top of the spokes and the straw openings. Don't ask me why I think this is a good idea.

take an old frame and clamp it in your work-mate -- upside down. put the wheel in the drop outs and you can spin it to paint the rim evenly. Mask everything as us564 says. i used plastic grocery bags and masking tape.

I put the straws on it took longer to cut the straws so I will just keep them for the next time. That's a good idea about using a old frame jerrykr thanks.
