I got these to Electras a few years ago and have been working on them for my kids. i wasn't in too much of a rush because they were too big and neither could ride without assistance. They graduated to 2 wheels last summer. My sons is an 8ball and hers is a Little Betty. The 8ball wasn't in too bad of shape, just normal kid wear. I powdercoated the frame matte black and painted the wheels solid red. Also put on white walls. I had picked up a Rat Fink for my daughter and was going to lightly 'girl it up' but she wanted paint it and everything. I didn't want to destroy the originality of it so sold it stupid cheap ([emoji34]) and found this Little Betty. It was way worse than it looked in the photos and almost walked but he ended up dropping it to like $25. The fenders were shot and paint was faded. The original plan was to put a springer front on it, but the one I bought wouldn't fit. I repainted it Sergeant Gold and clear coated it. The kids were so excited to get them finished. Anyone know where I can get new Electra head badges?

Great work, Dad! My kid keeps asking me to strip the lettering off his Boogie.
"But Dad, you said it was MY bike."
"No. I said you could use it."
Exactly! [emoji38]

This is the Fink I had. I listed it for like 75 because I wasn't sure if I'd get any interest.....boy was I wrong. I had 15-20 responses in the first few hours. The guy that ended up with said his son had just gotten his bike stolen. I believe it was one of those schwinn chopper bikes.

Yeah, I picked up the Boogie for like $65. I brought the kid with me, I think the seller was super happy to see a kid would get it, not some flipper or whatever

Nice rebuilds for the kiddos!
Try joining the Electra Bike pages on Facebook, I’ve scored several parts on there. There are a few Electra resellers/shops that have parts for sale all the time, I think I even saw some headbadges recently

When I stripped the 8ball they had them on the Electra site. They are gone now. My LBS, who sells Electra, couldn't find them for me
