For the front, you can always do what in referred to as a ‘bandana fender’. Motorcyclists will tie a bandana around the fork legs just above or touching the tire to catch the rooster tails of spray.
I think it would look pretty cool on your bike, given the overall ‘vibe’ you have working.

Finally! A use for the bandanna I keep in my camping kit! Does it work good? I’m gonna try this out.

I’m pretty stoked, my kid has taken more interest in bikes since I’ve been working on mine a ton. He didn’t know what he wanted done to it, so I started him out with my old seat and 26 inch forks. It was already cool to begin with, but it’s getting a lot cooler. He was pretty stoked about the extended forks. Idk what our plans are, but if we go nuts I’ll give this bike it’s own thread.

Finally had nice enough weather to ride! Loaded up the trunk “boot” if you’re from “across the pond” (sorry I’ve been watching too much top gear) and it rides really smooth fully loaded. The shifter is in a great spot (even though it’s not connected to anything yet) but it was AWESOME! I can’t wait til spring, I want to go somewhere FAR and do some camping. I love my bike!

I did not know it was for this! Pretty cool! I now realize that I got sprayed from the front when my front fender was too short to the fork crown.

Teaser pics. I can’t wait to ride tomorrow! I’ll get better pictures in the sunlight. I didn’t get the trim perfect, but I got it good enough. I think all my painting projects are done, so I I should have the time to ride.

Update! Still waiting on a tire to ship, then I can install my igh wheel. Might be a couple weeks, but I’ll appreciate it more that way. The weather has been nice enough to go ride a few times though!

Well I was having alignment and chain tension issues because the 3/8 inch axle was sitting in a 1/2 inch hole. I think I fixed that with some tensioners, and by wrapping the threads of the screws on the frame mounted sides with a paper clip making a washer/spacer/bushing that converts the 1/2 inch holes in the boomerang shackles to 3/8. It’s a tight fit, but no more alignment issues even when I take it on trails it has little to no business being on. I also mounted the rack directly to the frame in all 4 points with p clamps. It’s much sturdier, and tucks in really clean. Also experimenting with “chassis bolts” and I think my current combo is a winner.

I found that a les Paul bridge is useful as a chain guard riser. It cleans it up a little better. Les is more!

Oh Pranq, I spy with my little eye: a red rim, flat black fender, and a whitewall!
Have you been keeping something from us?

Nice use of the guitar part, and a nice pun too!

Thank you! It’s my kids bike, I’m a little bit big for it lol it’s an Electra rat rod. It does have the fork that my Electra came with. I’m thinking about getting a 2nd bike just in case I’m working on the chopper, but I keep spending money on video games lol. It’s been snowy here, and it almost never snows here.
