well I'd say be careful and to pay attention to the whole add. For example, the vendor is in China and they are charging over 100.00 just to ship. The kits that are under 200.00 have the same shipping fees and do not come with batteries. The add mentions Lithium Polymer batteries but these batteries do not come with the kits and by themselves cost more than the kit does with the shipping included. These kits will run on other batteries like SLA (sealed lead acid) but these batteries don't last as long and can take a long time to charge. I've heard that these kits don't add that much weight to the bike and if you plan to use it just get up hills or whatever then they won't be that bad, but you intend to use them as the main drive source then you should keep your trip short, 12-15 mile round trip, if that. Of course this all depends on the terrain, and your size. I hope this helps. Of course there are other methods for building an electric bike, razor scooter motors, for example, but once again, you have to deal with the battery life.
