So far, I've built one e-bike. I bought the kit from someone here on RRB, I think it was udalcustoms?
The batteries made the bike way top heavy, but my wife still liked it. It was the only way she could keep up with me. After enjoying it for long enough to buy new batteries for it, it's since been disassembled, and may go on a future project (though I would have to buy batteries AGAIN, as one of the terminals rotted off with acid).
The bike I am building for my wife now will have the FlyKly Smart Wheel on it, which is like the Copenhagen Wheel, in that the batteries, motor, and controls are ALL in the hub. No wires! I bought the FlyKly a year ago on Kickstarter, and I am currently waiting on its eminent arrival.
