My aunt had a bad stroke in the past year or so and hasn't been interested in any exercise since then. Recently she discovered that they make electric trikes and this sparked her interest. My mom called because even though they can buy one, she wants to try one out before she buys. They live in Virginia, close to North Carolina, but further west than me.

Mom has called local bike shops in Richmond with no success.

I found an electric bike shop in Virginia Beach that claims to be the biggest e-bike shop on the east coast. Anyone else got any ideas? Thanks.

I have a hub motor set up that was on an '80 Schwinn Town & Country Trike when I first got it. On the trike it ran about 16 mph, I got 20 mph when I mounted it on a bike. I am going to sell it if you and the family might be interested. PM me for the details.

Thanks for this, but my aunt is super picky and she will want something new, they've just always been that way.

When she started to drive again after the stroke she needed a steering handle attached to her car's steering wheel, well I just happened to have a quick release one, fully adjustable, with the rotating handle and the adjustable wrist braces, like new. Got it from a friend who runs a handicap conversion shop. I offered to give it to her and she didn't want it. Go figure.
