Found this at a sale in Nashville and picked it up for only 20 dollars. Seems like a great deal to me... Anyone know more about them or what year it is etc...?

never heard of an elf, but it look worth every cent of 20 bucks to me. id that a chainring knot on the riders left pedal crank? good score

Looks like an 89 or a 90 model.

Probably bring some decent money on Ebay.

Very cool find, I had an Elf doublecross in the mid 90's, had 4 chainstay tubes.

Just saw Hooch's ebay link, that's what I had. How come the bike is relisted after the auction ended with a winning bidder? Kinda fishy.

Yup. That one was just cast (no bolt hole) and the actual crank and chainring on the other side already busted... Had to ebay another entire lower bracket to get it back up and rolling...

Hard to say... maybe the seller bought it ... I've seen that before...
