Elgin build (sorta)!

I took the ladies Pilot bike and started swapping the parts to a Elgin I bought at the Saline show. after looking at it I'm not real happy. It really needs the 28" wheels and a guys seat to look right. Any opinions? Anybody have a set of 28" wheels with a skip took hub?

I have a set of prewar 26 x 1 3/8 wheel hoops. They had the hubs cut out and have a set of schwinn s-6 26 x 1 3/8 tires still on them. I send a pic if interested. Thanks

ohhhhhhhhh man i feel your pain! i can try a guy i know in the next town he might still have a set.......if he does ill pm you with the price(btw theyre the clad ones not just wood)
you might post it on the cabe if you havent already......

How about going the other way and sticking some Creme Fat Franks on it, if you don't find the 28's.

The fat franks would look pretty good. Some Felt quick bricks would look good as well.

can't help with the wheels but had to say that it looks great...can't wait to see how you finish it up as your bikes
