Found this In my buddies Rafters Last week. I'm new to the rat rod bikes so this will be my first build

Earlier today I removed the fenders, flipped the handlbars, lowered the seat and moved it back. The bike still has 35yrs of dust on it so I'm going to leave it dirty. I'm thinkin about doing all white tires to tie in the white chain guard but can't make my mind up.

That's a great frame. I like it as is with the black walls. I would be curious how it would look cleaned up and waxed, oiled, clear-coated etc...

Oh yeah!
Dont do any more than flush the dust for now; concentrate on cleaning/lubing the bearingsets and making it mechanically sound. If you do need new rubber, look at the 'creme's' rather than white, they will go with the 'patina' better. (though those high pressure Bontrager's would make it a flyin' sleeper!)
