Great frame and the guard is awesome...
Glad you solved the problem on the down tube.
I would have just cut the down pipe out and re-weld a donar pipe in its place,I have had to do that a few times...Island living and rust blend well.:D

Just a quick update for you guys this time, just to let you know what's going on. So I dropped off my frame at a welders shop but there guy that dose weird projects like fixing bicycle frames, was on vacation so I should get a call from him in the next few days about how much it will be to fix it. And then after I get the bike back, I'll do a mock up of the bike and move on to the last step, my plan is to sand the frame not take off the old paint just ruff it up a little, so I can put clear-coat on it to protect the new head badge and what ever other little surprise's I have in store for you guys.

Here's the head badge

Man that's the worst case of stuck seatpost i've ever seen. Headbadge is great. Looking forward to seeing this one together.

I like the headbadge too.
Hope it all works out for you seatpost so you can start having fun with this one.

Well got the bike back from the welder, and I'm very happy with how it turned out, he did a great job fixing it. Here are some pics of it all clear coated

I also changed my mind about the wheels, I just got these ancient Schwinn S-7 Wheels with Mattatuck hub in the rear and a Schwinn hub up front.

Are they both 20" now front and rear? Looks like it from the picture....you obviously solved your clearance issues with the front. Glad you saved the old patina, looks cool! Sounds like you are moving right along...looking forward to the final pics!

Love this build! The patina on that frame is awesome, glad you went with it and some clear.

A little heads up on your serial number, the M9 is a 1969 built bike. The Western Flyer Buzz Bike was a re-badged Murray Eliminator F Series framed bike.

She's done, hope you guys like it. This is one of my favorite bikes I have done on this forum.

Great mix of polished chrome and original patina! And it's got a vibe that is all it's own; which is what this build off is all about. nice match with the seat and grips to highlight the blues. Welcome to the finish-ed line!

Yowza! That looks like a cool ride that could have come straight out of the 60s-70s. My buds and I would have loved this!
So many cool details and the contrast between the patina and shiny parts is perfect!
BRAVO!!!!!

I know i finished the bike, but I found the jackpot part for this bike. And the best part is they were only 20 bucks.

Thats right ram horns

Those ram horns are a great finishing touch! And the pic out on the range puts it right in it's place! I haven't seen those bars in a long time....like kingfish said, it takes me back to my youth in the 60's...good times~

Perfect change to make a cool build even better!
