I Think its a Murray Made Jc Higgins ..
That tail light rack is pretty cool...

The chain guard is J C Higgins, the rack is too. The rear reflector (on the front fender) looks like J C Higgins also. I'll also agree it's a Murray made bike. It has peaked fenders, does the seat stay bracket conform to the peaked fender? Looks like a CWC chain ring.

Yep...it is a Murray built frame...most likely a Higgins. One of my favorite frames.The lug where the seat post and top tube come together is a dead giveaway. I think your serial number is MOS M instead of MUS M. The letter "M" after MOS means it is a 1956. Tanks aren't too hard to find for these.

my BoTEN bike Scrap Metal Deluxe is the same frame and rack....except a 1957 year. There is a guy over on the Cabe who makes the lenses for the rear rack. I think he charges $25 for a set?
