Evans Colson factory present day visit

Being a huge fanatic of the Evans Colson product of bicycles have you ever wondered what became of the old plant in Plymouth Michigan ? Well recently I had payed the old location there on Eckles rd a visit , I have also snapped some recent photos to shed some light & to bring you inside for a visit

Although she is no longer in production use it stands as a sort of a storage hub for contractors or sort of a home base for many who tote equipment and trucks for contract work .

It's a little rugged these days as you can see here .

I have to say they did use quality brick , I took this one as a token of much appreciation , I'm going to use it in a project at home on the front porch

Look here there is a showcase in the front lobby where there is this award that the new owner never removed from the case , if you look close enough it was presented to Evans

It's sad to see buildings that were full of people, now empty! I just can dream of the day when jobs come home, & buildings start to come alive with people again!

I agree , wandering through there my mind was geared on finding something bicycle related in some way or a tool or something or something assembly line related but I fear it was all cleared and scraped or sold . But just having that chance to stand where once a fine bicycle was made was just a great treat itself .
